Monday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: I am interested in purchasing Activeion’s Ionator EXP™ for my business. Has anyone in the commercial cleaning business used this product with great effect? Has it replaced most, if not all, cleaning chemicals? Is it worth the price of admission? I need help in making an educated decision in purchasing this product.
The answer:
This innovative product places an electrical charge onto the sprayed tap water which charge lasts for about a half minute, enough time to loosen dirt and affect the cell membranes of any microorganisms on the sprayed surface. You can review details at
It is designed for cleaning, and as well as disinfecting which requires a six second spray from a four inch distance to be effective.
The use of water without chemicals for this purpose is a green plus and the product is quite technical, hence not inexpensive.
