WASHINGTON — Kimberly-Clark Health Care created the HAI WATCHDOG Awards program to recognize the efforts of dedicated health care professionals helping to prevent hospital aquired infections (HAI) in their healthcare facilities and to allow health care providers to share best practices for infection prevention, according to Infection Control Today.
The deadline to submit a program is December 15, 2010, the article noted.
Kimberly-Clark Health Care will award four programs with an educational grant, a commemorative plaque and health care industry and local community recognition through press releases and features on the HAI WATCHDOG website and in Kimberly-Clark Infection Watch e-newsletters, the article stated.
According to the article, programs with measureable results will be judged by a panel of infection prevention health care professionals, while the education and awareness programs with non-measurable results will be judged by online public voting of fellow health care professionals through December 31, 2010.
