HAMILTON, OH — The Forensic Science Technician, an organization that promotes the teaching of forensic sciences, has compiled a list of the 50 germiest places in the world, some of which are everyday locations, while others are a little less common, according to a press release.
The top 10 germiest everyday places include things like portable toilets, kitchen sinks and door handles, the release noted.
According to the release, some of the more unusual germiest spots include the Blarney Stone in Ireland, which is kissed by thousands of tourists each year, Oscar Wilde''s grave in Paris, which tourists traditionally kiss and automatic teller machines (ATM).
"But there is a lot we can do to hygienically clean and sanitize toilets, door handles and other surfaces," Morrison added.
