LYNN, MA — A Boston-based union wants a local cleaning firm to allow its employees to work under a collective bargaining agreement, according to The Daily Item.

Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 615 presented Complete Cleaning managers earlier this month with an employee petition asking the company to honor an agreement 615 has negotiated with other cleaning firms, the article stated.

"There has been a master agreement for 30 years that allows cleaners to compete based on quality of service," said 615 Director Roxana Rivera.

Complete has over 100 employees and General Electric''s River Works complex is one of the company''s larger clients, the article noted.

According to the article, Rivera and Jeff Crosby, president of the union local representing River Works employees, joined Complete janitors on March 3 in presenting a petition calling for Complete to recognize the master agreement.
