PAOLA, KS — Students, faculty and staff gathered to remember a beloved custodian, according to The Miami County Republic.

Paola High School (PHS) custodian Craig Henness, who passed away March 5, was a beloved member of the staff known for his warm greetings while he worked within the walls of the school, the article noted.

According to the article, before becoming a member of the Paola school district, Henness worked with Spring Hill schools before working at Sunflower Elementary in 2003; two years later, he transferred over to PHS.

As students left the service honoring Henness, they were able to leave messages on signs that had been made and placed at the entrance of the theater that read, "RIP Craig 1951-2011 You Will Be Greatly Missed," the article stated.
