Ecolab named ethical company

ST. PAUL, MN — For the fifth consecutive year, Ecolab Inc. has been recognized by Ethisphere Institute as one of the World''s Most Ethical Companies, according to a press release.

The designation is awarded to companies that have leading ethics and compliance programs, the release noted.

"We are extremely honored to receive this award again this year," said Douglas M. Baker, Jr., chairman, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Ecolab.

"Our long-term success depends on grounding our leadership, our associates and our culture in ethical business practices. Strong business ethics are critical to delivering profitable, sustainable growth, and running a successful global business," Baker added.

According to the release, this is the fifth year Ethisphere, a think tank dedicated to the creation, advancement and sharing of best practices in business ethics, corporate social responsibility, anti-corruption and sustainability, has published the World''s Most Ethical Companies rankings, which appear in Ethisphere magazine''s first quarter issue.
