PORTLAND, OR — Due to the high costs and frustrations linked to graffiti removal, one street in Portand is helping out, according to The Oregonian.

Later this month, Alberta Main Street will launch the Clean Street program, which will kick off during the street''s Earth Day Clean Up event on April 23, the article noted.

According to the article, if businesses and building owners provide the paint and brushes, the organization will supply volunteers to do the work.

"Everyone says this is a problem so we''re hoping everyone will step up and help pay to fix the problem," said Sara Wittenberg, executive director of Alberta Main Street.
