Janitor arrested for theft

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — A Cleveland Heights-University Heights district (CHUH) custodian was arrested on charges of grand theft, according to the Cleveland Heights Patch.

Cynthia Patton, a janitor at Monticello Middle School, was arrested after police say she stole a school-issued laptop, giving it to her 21-year-old son to sell on eBay, the article stated.

According to Angee Shaker, communications director for the CHUH schools, Patton has been placed on administrative leave while awaiting the outcome of the district''s termination process.
