NEW YORK — A former housekeeper for a high-end Manhattan hotel has pleaded guilty to first degree murder of a woman who lived in the building, according to The Wall Street Journal.
On Monday, Derrick Praileau admitted to the 2009 strangling of investment adviser Andree Bejjani after breaking in to her apartment, the article stated.
According to the article, Praileau was sentenced to 23 years to life in prison by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Carol Berkman.
Praileau will be formally sentenced on June 17, the article noted.
