BUFFALO, NY — S&W Contracting of Western New York ranks 47 on Fortune magazine''s Inner City 100 list, according to The Buffalo News.
S&W Contracting was started in 1999 by the Spicer family and generated $29,000 in revenue; a decade later, the company pulled in nearly $2 million, the article stated.
According to the article, it is that rapid expansion that lands the company in the top 50 companies on the Inner City list.
The Inner City list is a ranking of the country''s fastest-growing inner city businesses, the article noted.
"Making the list solidifies what I''ve been telling people," said Shandra Spicer, president and chief executive officer (CEO).
"It says we are a viable company, and it gives us name recognition. I think it''s going to increase business," Spicer added.
