DALTON, GA — Quality Graphics Inc., a company that prints graphical designs on carpeting, has been cited with 13 safety and health violations, according to the Rome News-Tribune.
Proposed penalties for from the safety inspection that began back in January total $45,000, the article stated.
"OSHA found numerous serious hazards, some of which involve risk of possible amputations by unguarded equipment and dangers related to improperly maintained forklifts," said Andre Richards, director of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration''s (OSHA) Atlanta-West Area Office.
"No business should allow these types of hazards in its workplace," Richards added.
According to the article, 12 of the more serious violations include hazards related to fire, tripping and electrical deficiencies.
