WINNEPEG — The Manitoba government will put $175 million towards compensating those devastated by flooding, according to The Gazette.
An estimated $60 million to $70 million would be allocated to compensate property owners and farmers, the article stated.
According to the article, the government plans to implement the Building and Recovery Action as soon as possible.
New flood-protection efforts for communities along the Assiniboine River and Lake Manitoba will also be a priority, the article noted.
