MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers are launching a more comprehensive approach to recycling and energy efficiency, according to the Journal Sentinel.
The Brewers, in conjunction with Johnson Controls, will launch their newest green initiative during the week of June 20, the article stated.
According to the article, so far the team has been able to divert 35 percent of the team''s waste from landfills, implement low-flush aerators, which will save approximately 9 million gallons of water per year, and have ensured that more than 50 percent of all cleaning products and materials meet sustainability criteria.
To commemorate the launch of the "Brewing a Greener Game" initiative, the Brewers will host several sustainable events, including an eCycling day and a bike to the ballpark event, the article noted.
