DALLAS — An industry authority on water damage remediation has compiled timely advice for home and business owners as they gear up for the hurricane and tropical storm season, according to a press release.

Todd Snyder, owner of Flood Kings, a Dallas-based water damage repair and restoration service, advised consumers to be aware that even the presence of less than one-quarter inch of standing water should be removed with professional equipment, the release stated.

According to the release, professional water damage removal firms go on high alert in tropical weather.

"I want consumers to know what to do in the event they have a water disaster at their home or business. We have seen year after year that we are prone to the heavy rains that are spawned by tropical weather systems. As the saying goes, forewarned is forearmed," said Snyder.
