CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The idea that custodians have the summer off just like teachers and students is a popular misconception, according to The Herald.
In reality, custodians spend the summer cleaning and making repairs to ensure schools look their best for the new school year, the article stated.
According to the article, the janitorial staff moves everything into the hallways in order to clean the classrooms from top to bottom.
The process generally takes the entire summer, from June right up until the beginning of the school year in late August, the article noted.
