HOUSTON, MS — Piles of debris from April''s tornado will take longer to pick up, according to WTVA-TV.
As of Tuesday, the Chickasaw County Board of Supervisors had rejected all the contract bids submitted to clean up after the storm, the article stated.
According to the article, the supervisors have said that they were told to stop the bidding process for a private company.
"We had three addendums, and all the contractors that requested the bid package didn''t get the addendums on time," said Supervisor Jerry Hall.
The third addendum added to the packages was a $1 million bond that contractors were required to show as part of the bidding, the article noted.
