City launches sustainability website

REDMOND, WA — The city of Redmond has launched a new website designed to promote community and city sustainability efforts, according to the Redmond Patch.

The site is designed to provide information to residents and businesses and allow residents to interact with and learn from one another in a fun and compelling way, the article stated.

According to the article, the site will include an interactive element for live tracking of users'' resource consumption; an easy-to-use carbon calculator; and information on the city''s sustainability programs in energy, resources, development, stewardship and transportation.

The Impact Redmond website has been made possible through funding provided by the Department of Energy through an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant, the article noted.
