MINNEAPOLIS — The roof of the Metrodome, which collapsed in December, isn''t the only thing that needs replacing, according to KELO-TV.

The owners of the Metrodome are saying that the field, which consists of artificial turf, is full of mold and bacteria from water leaking into the stadium after the collapse, the article stated.

According to the article, insurance will cover the cost of replacing the turf, which will total more than $500,000.

Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission Chairman Ted Mondale says replacing the turf will not delay the rebuild, the article noted.
