MORRISTOWN, NJ — A janitor on trial for killing a priest has rejected a plea deal, according to the Times Union.
If found guilty, Jose Feliciano could see life in prison; under the terms of the plea deal he would have served 30 years, the article stated.
According to the article, Feliciano is accused of the 2009 stabbing death of Reverend Edward Hinds.
Feliciano has told investigators he killed the priest because Hinds threatened to fire him if he ended their relationship; prosecutors have stated this is a false claim, the article noted.
