xpedx’s Steve Bowden Named Executive Vice President Marketing and Strategy
CINCINNATI, Ohio - Steve Bowden has been named executive vice president, marketing and strategy, xpedx, and will continue as a member of the xpedx Senior Lead Team. Bowden is also a vice president and company officer of International Paper. xpedx is a business of International Paper.
In his new leadership role, Bowden is responsible for leading marketing efforts for xpedx, as well as providing leadership for xpedx’s strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Prior to serving as executive vice president, Bowden was vice president and general manager for xpedx Stores. He has also served in leadership positions for International Paper, including mill manager of the company’s Augusta, Ga., Mill and product development manager and North American business manager for IP’s Coated Paperboard business. Bowden became a company officer in June 2009.
Bowden began his career with International Paper in 1987 at the former Moss Point, Miss., Mill, where he served for about 12 years in roles of increasing responsibility in the pulp mill, finished products, environmental, health and safety and technical services areas.
Bowden is now based at xpedx’s business headquarters in Loveland, Ohio, near Cincinnati. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University.
