BERKELEY, CA — A Berkeley High School custodian was shot Friday morning as a result of an attempted robbery, according to The Daily Californian.
Dinesh Kumar was shot multiple times, but has since been stabilized and is expected to make a full recovery, the article stated.
"This was an astonishingly brutal act committed against a nice, hardworking and tight-knit family," said Principal Pasquale Scuderi.
"Our love, prayers and positive energy should flow their way as they deal with the shock, loss, pain and grief that have been imposed upon them," Scuderi added.
According to the article, the high school has started a donation fund to help the family with expenses.
