GULF BREEZE, FL — An Oriole Beach Elementary School (OBS) retiree might be the best teacher the school ever had, according to the Gulf Breeze News. Charley Womack, a custodian at the school for 30 years, has worked at Oriole Beach since it opened its doors in 1981, the article stated.

According to the article, while Womack was primarily the school''s custodian, he wore many hats prior to his retirement earlier this week.

He was often found teaching valuable life lessons to the OBE students — good manners, kindness, respect and a positive attitude, the article noted.

"He is one of the finest persons I have ever known," said a tearful Principal Dawn Alt.

"I feel like I am losing one of my assistant principals," Alt added.
