WINSTED, CT — Winchester Public Schools custodians were recognized by the superintendent for the hardwork that led to all three public schools opening on time and in a safe condition, according to The Register Citizen.
Over the summer, Pearson Middle School was closed to the public, custodial staff included, while Wiese Construction of Norwich completed an asbestos abatement project, the article stated.
According to the article, while the building was closed, the custodians were not able to perform their routine summer cleanup.
While their work is not completely finished, the board of education presented the custodians with certificates of honor for their hardwork in getting the schools ready, the article noted.
