Monday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: I am new in the cleaning business, and in the process of pricing a contract. How much should I charge to clean a 4,000 sq.ft. bar/night, 5 nights per week? How many hours will the job take each night?

The answer:

It all depends on how rowdy a crew is in there on any given night and what your job actually is. If you are just sweeping up with a 24" push broom, you can do it in about an hour. Mopping will run about an hour and a half. Rest rooms may be messy ... — Lynn E. Krafft, ICAN/ATEX Editor
