BARNEGAT, NJ — The Barnegat Township School District will pay a restoration company nearly $300,000 to clean mold from Cecil S. Collins Elementary, according to the Barnegat-Ocean Patch.

The contract for the mold remediation went to the Toms River-based Servpro, which has already begun working in the school, a process that will be months in the making, the article stated.

According to the article, an exact timeline for the cleanup project isn''t know because it is still unknown as to what is salvageable and what has to be thrown away.

The school, which normally serves more than 300 kindergarten through fifth-grade students, is not likely to reopen before Christmas, the article noted.
