WASHINGTON — DC area office cleaners are planning to hold a rally even as they prepare for a possible strike, according to The Republic.
The rally is schedule for this afternoon in Farragut Square, the article stated.
According to the article, the 12,000 office cleaners working in the DC area are threatening to strike if their contract expires at midnight Sunday without reaching a new agreement on terms.
The cleaners'' union is asking for wage increases, fewer staffing cuts and better health care benefits, the article noted.
