WATERFORD, NJ — Three Waterford schools will remain closed until at least Monday to facilitate mold cleanup, according to the Courier Post.
When the schools closed on Monday, district officials believed they would be reopened on Wednesday, however, that timetable was amended to give cleaning crews more time to thoroughly rid the schools of mold, the article stated.
According to the article, the district described extensive mold problems at Waterford Elementary, where eight classrooms are closed, with a lesser infestation at Atco Elementary School.
At Waterford Elementary, contents are to be cleaned and removed from the closed classrooms, which then will be stripped of their ceiling tiles and carpeting, the article noted.
