WINSTED, CT — Some Hinsdale Elementary School students are being pulled out of school as parents worry mold is making them sick, according to WVIT-TV.
When Cathy O''Meara''s daughter developed a severe sinus infection, the family allergist recommending pulling the girl out of school until the problem is cleared up, the article stated.
According to the article, many of the problems started last month after widespread flooding in the area.
In response to concerns, the school hired a company to test the school''s air quality: The report showed elevated levels of mold in the gym, which doubles as the school''s cafeteria, the article noted.
The company has recommended a comprehensive deep cleaning and to replace any materials that show signs of water damage, the article added.
