WINCHESTER, CT — Thanks to help from a Southern Connecticut business, Hinsdale Elementary School''s mold problem is under control, but the school’s future could still be murky, according to The Register Citizen.
Friday saw the beginning of the mold remediation process, undertaken by Diversified Building Services, which continued throughout the weekend, the article stated.
According to the article, Diversified Building Services submitted a bid of approximately $16,000 to clean the floors, walls, ceiling and furniture at Hinsdale.
Once the mold is cleaned up, however, residents will still have a say in what happens with Hinsdale, the article noted.
The Winchester Public Schools set-up a survey on their website asking not only Winsted students, the relatives thereof and other community members, but also employees for their opinions on the school, the article added.
