MEMPHIS, TN — ServiceMaster Clean has announced that G.I. Jobs magazine ranked it and its sister companies, AmeriSpec and Furniture Medic, in the top 10 percent of all franchise businesses nationwide for veterans, according to a press release.

All were also named 2011 Military Friendly Franchises, the release stated.

"The Military Friendly Franchises list was created three years ago out of demand from military veterans, many of whom want to start or own their own business but are unclear where to begin," said Sean Collins, director for G.I. Jobs magazine.

"Being selected as a Military Friendly Franchise places ServiceMaster Clean in this elite group and is testimony to ServiceMaster Clean''s world-class programs and policies that support military veterans interested in franchise opportunities," Collins added.

According to the release, as part of its participation in the International Franchise Association''s (IFA) "Operation Enduring Opportunity," ServiceMaster Franchise Services Group has also announced a commitment to hire 500 veterans by 2014.

Operation Enduring Opportunity is a campaign that includes the industry''s more than 825,000 franchise establishments, which support nearly 18 million jobs, to hire and recruit 75,000 veterans and 5,000 wounded warriors by 2014, the release noted.
