Wednesday''s Ask the Experts question from a cleaning professional on the International Custodial Advisors Network (ICAN) "Ask the Experts" page: My business has been asked to submit a bid for three local utility business offices. Each location is 15,000 sq. ft., with basic cleaning (mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.) 2 times a week. Two of the locations are 10 minutes away, and the one location is half an hour away. Twice a week on three locations for one check, any advice on how much to bid? (They supply everything but the vacuum cleaner.)
Include the travel time if you are doing this as route work. Figure to spend a bit more time for a twice a week job than for one done nightly. The accumulation of blemishes will be greater with the service frequency reduced. Price each facility individually to make certain any special considerations are provided for.
