BEAVERTON, OR — The decision to layoff district custodians was reversed as the school board settled on a compromise, according to The Oregonian.
The school board decided to reorganize shifts, allowing for fewer custodians to work the night shift or on vacations, the article stated.
According to the article, day shift custodians are tasked with picking up the slack, which has been difficult.
Custodian Mike Boell has said he isn''t able to clean his classrooms with the regularity that he once could, the article noted.
