IEHA and NFSI Announce Educational Partnership

Westerville OH - The International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) and the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) have announced an educational partnership to disseminate information designed to help the cleaning industry reduce the incidence of slip and fall.

NFSI will assist IEHA in producing educational materials, including additions to IEHA’s Safety and Security Module integral to the Technical and Administrative portion of IEHA’s Professional Education Credentialing Program (PECP), the basis for IEHA’s CEH and REH Certification Programs (note: In IEHA’s annual Salary Survey, it has been proven year after year that members with a REH or CEH Certification have a higher earning potential as compared to members with no certification.)

The program will feature articles by NFSI’s President Russell Kendzior published in Executive Housekeeping Today magazine (with CEU credits) and will promote NFSI/IEHA classes (onsite and virtual) on safety training at the IEHA Chapter level nationwide. These classes will embrace market specific instruction in lodging, healthcare, schools and other sectors, as well as Integrated Cleaning and Measurement (ICM)-related, walkway safety training and auditing using the NFSI-approved BOT-3000 field measurement device.

“We are excited to play a leadership role in bringing this safety-related information both to our members and the cleaning industry at large,” said Beth Risinger, CEO and Executive Director of IEHA. “We are confident that this unique body of information including support of NFSI’s walkway safety auditing program will make a difference in the safety of public environments and people everywhere.”

“NFSI considers this a unique opportunity to reach facility professionals with vital, even lifesaving information that will raise their professional skills to new heights and raise floor care to floor safety wherever IEHA members are found implementing these principles,” said Russ Kendzior.
