HOBART, IN — A man employed as a janitor at St. Bridget''s Catholic School has admitted to committing a string of burglaries of church properties, which included the school and rectory, according to the Northwest Indiana Times.
Custodian Fred Christopher Greene, 26, admitted to the robberies, which began last June and continued to as recently as last weekend, the article stated.
According to the article, Greene admitted to stealing a master key that he used to open the doors to the rectory and the school to commit the burglaries.
Some of the stolen items, including a projector, camera and radio, were found in Greene''s home, the article noted.
Surveillance video caught Greene in the school after midnight, going in a classroom with a backpack and flashlight, the article added.
