CUMMING, GA — A custodian at the Stars and Strikes Fun Center found a loose diamond near the bowling lanes while cleaning up after an event, according to a press release.

When Mark VanBuskirk, the general manager of Stars and Strikes, went back to the center to see if Sandra Greene''s diamond could be found, he discovered it had already been turned in, the release stated.

According to the release, the diamond was found by Rick Mayker, who likened the find to a "needle in a haystack" due to the size of the center.

"I only did what anybody would do. I am glad I was able to find it for her," said Mayker.

"In this economy, it is refreshing to find someone that puts others ahead of himself. I am really proud that Rick had the integrity to do the right thing," said Jack Canouse, one of the owners of Stars and Strikes.
