SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY — The more than 80 Bullitt County Public Schools custodians whose jobs were on the line no longer have to worry, according to WAVE-TV.
The school board was looking into outsourcing as a way to trim the district’s budget, the article stated.
According to the article, the option was taken off of Monday night’s board meeting agenda.
While outsourcing custodial services would have saved the district upwards of $200,000 per year, the board was inundated with e-mails and phone calls, urging the board not to cut the 80 positions, the article noted.
