WICHITA FALLS, TX — Custodian Tommy Owens, 69, is appreciated by the staff at Cunningham Elementary School for more than his hard work, according to the Times Record News.

Owens has been the custodian at Cunningham for 43 years, and in all that time, he has never missed a day of work, the article stated.

According to the article, this record was confirmed by Wichita Falls Independent School District''s Human Resources department, by Maintenance Director Dan Shelton and by Owens'' supervisor at GCA Services.

Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD) Superintendent George Kazanas awarded Owens the district''s High Five Award on February 20, the article noted.
