LATHAM, NY — The first installment of the 2012 Critical Issues Online Seminar Series, an event centered around infection control and prevention, will be held at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on March 22.
The seminar, which will be built around questions that our readers submitted, will address what concerns you and your colleagues have surrounding the broad topic of infection control and prevention.
Our expert panel includes: Richard Schmidt of STOKO Skin Care; Darrel Hicks of St. Luke''s Hospital; Dr. Benjamin Tanner of Antimicrobial Test Laboratories; Michael Lindsay, Crothall Health Care director of environmental services at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Each day, we face bacterial, fungal and viral threats in commercial buildings around the world. As stewards of public health, it is our responsibility to know which dangers are present and be armed with the tools and knowledge to eradicate pathogens before they cause illness or more severe harm to ourselves and building occupants.
Among other things, this 60-minute seminar, an extension of the 2012 CM/Spotlight: Infection Control, will discuss various disinfection strategies and will outline the steps necessary to properly handle an outbreak in your facility.
