CINCINNATI — The IT geniuses at Procter & Gamble found a surprising reason why company computers were running so slowly, according to The Enquirer.
An investigation revealed that 50,000 YouTube videos were being downloaded from company computers every day, and employees were listening to 4,000 hours of music a day on Pandora, the article stated.
According to the article, the demand for non-business entertainment through the company''s Internet network was exceeding the company''s capacity, which "required immediate intervention."
The digital excess has led P&G to block streaming music site Pandora and the movie and video site Netflix "as a first step," the article noted.
