Window washer rescued by firefighters

RACINE, WI — John Marks, a window washer working at the City Hall Annex, needing rescuing by the local fire department when he became stuck, according to The Journal Times.

Jim Zarbock, a Racine firefighter, climbed up an aerial truck ladder in order to reach the worker, the article stated.

According to the article, Marks'' hoisting system was locked up and he needed weight lifted off it to help him rappel down from the top of the building.

Marks didn''t let the incident stop him, continuing to clean windows as he made his way back down the building, the article noted.
