NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA — Custodian Frank Caron knows the name of each child that passes through the doors of the Early Learning Center, according to The Sun Chronicle.
Caron is just one of many custodians dedicated to their work and to the students that led reasons the Parent Teacher Organization dedicated a new Kwanzan cherry tree in the name of the school''s custodians, the article stated.
According to the article, the tree was dedicated on Friday.
"This is a very special day for us," said Principal Sheila Burgess.
"We''re dedicating this tree in honor of a group of people who usually go unrecognized in terms of accolades — our past, present and future custodians," Burgess added.
The dedication of the new tree, which was donated and planted on Arbor Day by Reilly Tree and Landscaping, is particularly appropriate because it is replacing an old crabapple tree that was a literal thorn in the side of the custodians, snagging their clothes when they were working in the school yard, the article noted.
