ST. LOUIS, MO — Ladue Middle School custodian Steve Bell has been recognized as the Distinguished Service award winner for the 2011-2012 school year, according to the Creve Coeur Patch.

On Monday, the Ladue School District Superintendent, Marsha Chappelow, presented Bell with a plaque, the article stated.

According to the article, a brief video was also shown, which depicted all of the work Bell does on behalf of the students and staff at his school.

More times than not, custodians go way beyond their assigned duties, offering unofficial counseling and a shoulder to lean on by young students, and Bell fits that description perfectly, the article noted.
