TOTTENHAM, ON — At a recent ceremony held in Toronto, Foley Restoration Disaster Kleenup received a Fire Safety Award from the Fire Marshal''s Public Fire Safety Council, according to the King Weekly Sentinel.
The annual Fire Safety Awards are held to recognize outstanding contributions to fire protection and prevention in Ontario, the article stated.
According to the article, Foley Restoration Disaster Kleenup has been servicing York Region and the surrounding area for the past 20 years.
When King Fire and Emergency Services was seeking donations for the purchase of a fire safety trailer, it approached Foley Restoration to see if they would be interested in contributing; the family-owned business then donated the entire purchase price of $7,000 the article noted.
"Thanks to the generosity of Foley Restoration Disaster Kleenup, the Township of King has a valuable new tool that will help to educate residents throughout York Region for years to come," said Ted Wieclawek, Ontario Fire Marshal.
