So far they have only had it stripped and refinished once a year and it looks real bad.
With modern floor finishes, a once a year strip and recoat is not unheard of, nor is it necessarily insufficient for good maintenance. However, if the traffic is truly heavy and the daily maintenance poor, the finish will be damaged rapidly and there may not be much left in the traffic lanes at year’s end. Your pricing should reflect cost of the strip operation, the placing of at least five clean coats of finish, and the periodic renewal of the surface by either spray buffing or burnishing.
