The project is focused on maintenance and energy upgrades that are part of the district''s five-year facilities plan including roof and window repairs and replacement, heating and ventilation repairs, lighting on the track and football field and auditorium improvements at the Weeks and Bell elementary schools, the story stated.
Money for the project will come from state building aid, a one-time allocation of state EXCEL funds and money from the district''s capital reserve fund, the story noted.
Superintendent Jason Andrews said: “We tried to design a project based on what we can afford.”
